Retreats
A real pause.
Private and small-group multi-day immersions on southern Vancouver Island — or designed with you, anywhere in the world.
Are you ready for a real pause?
A retreat is permission to step out of the noise of daily life — and into a slower rhythm where reflection, rest, and inner work can actually take root. When the calendar finally empties, what has been waiting underneath has room to surface. The insights that arrive in ceremony land more deeply when there is unhurried time around them, and the changes that follow tend to last.
About the retreat
A multi-day Bufo retreat is a held, intentional container in which to meet this medicine without rushing. Whether you come on your own for a private retreat or sit alongside one or two others in a small group, the setting stays intimate enough for personalized, careful work.
Days move at a human pace. There is gentle morning movement and breath practice to help you arrive in the body. There is time in the forest. There are unhurried meals. Ceremonies are scheduled with space around them, so that nothing has to be processed on the way out the door.
Every offering in the schedule is voluntary — including, always, the medicine itself. Rest and integration are not afterthoughts here; they are half of the work. You are invited to step out of anything at any time, and to be honest about what you need.
Most retreats include up to three ceremonies. In my experience, the first ceremony is usually about meeting the medicine and softening the natural fear of the unknown. The second tends to go further. The third often completes something. The breakthrough that people read about online is rarely a first-ceremony event — it tends to live on the other side of trust.
